Evergreen Family Village (EFV) provides transitional housing and supportive services for families.

EFV houses sixteen families, in 2- and 3-bedroom units, for up to two years. This period of time enables the adults to find jobs or enroll in college, find stable housing, and to work through some of the issues (financial, physical, emotional and/or psychological) that led to their homelessness.

No alcohol or drug use is allowed on- or off-premises by EFV residents or their guests, and preference is given to adults who have been clean and sober for at least 6 months.

Intensive Case Management is the core of the program. This includes individualized goal planning, advocacy, short term counseling, basic life skills training, referral to community resources, job-seeking and –maintenance skills training, parenting skills, and much more.

Residents also serve on committees, do a variety of chores, participate in a monthly resident meeting and a monthly work party. The interview process establishes our waiting list.

Application Process:  Serenity House uses a single application form for households to apply to the Family Shelter Services, One Family-One Home, Evergreen Family Village, Serenity Court, and Transitions to Housing programs.  Staff then determines which program best fits the needs of the applicant.  Interviews are made by staff, with the household then placed on a waiting list for the next available opening.
